Before enquiring about a tattoo, please remember

-You MUST be 18 before you can legally be tattooed. Parental consent does not override this.

-You MUST have photo ID in the form of a drivers license, proof of age or passport. A student/trade ID card does not count.

-I will not tattoo anyone under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or currently pregnant/breastfeeding. If you show any signs of non compliance or aggression, you will be asked to leave the premises with no deposit refund.

-You must not take any blood thinner type medication before your tattoo! This includes Ibuprofen (nurofen, advil etc), aspirin, warfarin, codeine etc They will cause you to bleed more, and can effect how to tattoo is applied and heals greatly. Paracetamol (Panadol, Tylenol) is fine to take beforehand.

-If you have any allergies, please inform me before your appointment so I can accommodate.

Thank you!

How can I get a tattoo from you?

If you are interested in getting a tattoo, you can send in an enquiry form . Fill it out to the best of your ability, and remember to email any reference images you might have. Please be aware submitting a form does not guarantee an appointment. I typically take on works featuring video game, anime, animal and fantasy characters and themes. I can cover styles ranging from full colour detailed illustration, cute/kawaii, watercolour, stippled blackwork. View my portfolio/social media feeds for a better idea.

Enquiries through Instagram/facebook will not be answered

What won’t you tattoo?

I typically will not take on fineline, geometric, tribal or script style work. If unsure please reach out via email

I’ve send an enquiry, when will I hear from you?

Responses are sent periodically during the week, you can expect a wait of 1-7 days. If you haven’t heard anything after this, check your spam! Remember to add my email kaceymegtattoos@gmail.com to your contact list. If you still don’t have a response, feel free to send a follow up email.

If all is good to go ahead with your booking, you will be sent a link to my aquity scheduling page. This is a trusted online booking system that I pay to use, and takes away the annoying back and forth on finding a date and paying a deposit. If you’ve been sent the link, please follow through and book.

How much will my tattoo cost?

See below for a breakdown of my appointment types. Typically most tattoos will require a minumum half day session. If your tattoo doesn’t fit in these categories, or we go under/over the quoted time, it will be charged at $220 p/h

Please note sessions include prep time and breaks, and time is not calculated by just “on skin” time.

Half day- 3hrs $650

Full day 5hrs+ (no more then 7.5 hrs) $1100

You can view a visual guide here

I require a non-refundable deposit of $150 for every new tattoo booking. This can be carried over a total of 2 times for reschedules, a new deposit will be required after that.

I ask that no less than 48hrs notice be given for reschedule/cancellation.
If you no show me without a reasonable reason, you will lose your deposit and I will not rebook you in the future.

A design fee might be added to your deposit for sleeves, half and full leg sleeves, back or chest pieces. This will typically be a flat $100 to cover the day(s) I will spend planning and drawing up the design. This will be discussed in the email/consultation. Consults are free

How will I pay?

I accept payment in cash or bank transfer. If organised beforehand, I can accept afterpay eftpos payment (fees may apply)

Preparing for your tattoo

Make sure you have a good nights sleep, stay well hydrated and eat at least an hour before your tattoo.

Be careful if shaving the area, don’t dry shave or use a blunt razor. Don’t shave in a hurry! If you haven’t remembered to, this is fine as I will shave the area anyway. Keep the area exfoliated and moisturised the weeks leading up to your tattoo. Tattooing dry skin can make the process difficult.

Check your email! Just in case I’m running late, ill or need feedback on your design.

I am happy for you to bring along headphones with entertainment. I provide lollies and small snacks, but feel free to bring your favourites. I also welcome any comfort items you might want to have, including plush toys or pillow. If doing a full day, we have a fridge for storing food, otherwise you are welcome to grab lunch from the mall.

Please email me beforehand with any questions, concerns, design changes, changes or ailments to your skin etc I like to be prepared and accomodating as much as I can for the day ahead!

How do I look after my tattoo?

You will receive verbal and written aftercare instructions after your first tattoo session. I favour using second skin/dermal shield type products when possible. Please let me know if you have allergies to these. In cases where we can’t use these, I may instruct you on using glad wrap to help heal safely.

I will have tattoo aftercare products available to purchase, and I will always highly encourage that some type of tattoo aftercare be used (Hustle Butter, After Art, Ink Nurse etc) I don’t recommend bepanthem products be used for healing my tattoo work. At the end of the day, I can’t make you follow my advice. Once you leave the studio, aftercare is your responsibility and I will always hope your healing is an easy and comfortable experience.

Some things to remember
DO NOT use sorbolene or lanolin based products. These will take out tattoo ink and require a full retouch at your cost.
DO NOT submerge your new tattoo in bath/pool/beach water. Showering and washing your tattoo is acceptable and highly encouraged!
DO NOT pick and scratch your new tattoo
DO NOT expose your tattoo to direct sunlight while its healing, once healed continue to use 50spf sunscreen to keep the colours from fading/discolouring.

Can I use numbing cream?

Please discuss with me in advance if you would like to use numbing cream. Due to recent research and incidents with numbing cream products, I don’t recommend the use of them but can make exceptions if needed. If you show up with numbing cream and it hasn’t been discussed prior, you will be asked to sign a seperate waiver form.

If you are concerned about the pain, my advice is to make sure you are well rested, eat a good breakfast and bring something to distract you like music, a podcast or tv show (please bring headphones) video games are also an option, if both arms are free. I provide sugar in the form of lollies and snacks, free for my clients but I encourage you to bring your favourite snacks, and sugary drinks to help get you through.
Breaks are encouraged, and for full colour works I do use Bactine spray (or similar products) to help keep you comfortable during longer sessions. Be aware of your limits, but also know your body is amazing and you can get through tough sessions with the right mindset!

If you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to reach pout via email kaceymegtattoos@gmail.com

Thank you!
